Functional Nutritional Therapy is a science-based, holistic approach to wellness that focuses on the "Foundations" of health. Unlike traditional nutrition, which often looks at calories or general food groups, we look at how your body is actually functioning at a cellular level. By supporting core systems like digestion, blood sugar regulation, and mineral balance, we empower the body’s innate ability to heal itself and find its own unique state of optimal health.

While many nutritionists provide "one-size-fits-all" dietary advice or follow generic guidelines, an FNTP honors your bio-individuality. We don't just tell you what to eat; we investigate why your body might be struggling to process certain foods or why you’re feeling depleted. We use specific functional tools—like the Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire (NAQ) and clinical assessments such as the the Functional Clinical Assessment (FCA)—to create a protocol tailored specifically to your biochemistry, not a textbook.

Our work together is a journey of discovery. It begins with a deep dive into your health history and a 321-point symptomatic assessment (the NAQ) to identify your body's "priority" systems. Depending on your needs, we may also use food and mood journals or functional testing to gather data. From there, we build a roadmap that includes targeted whole-food nutrition, lifestyle adjustments, and professional-grade supplementation to bridge any nutritional gaps and restore balance.

Think of me as your health detective and partner. I don’t believe in "quick fixes" or restrictive fad diets that are impossible to maintain. Instead, I offer a supportive, non-judgmental space where we work together to peel back the layers of your health concerns. My goal is to educate and empower you so that you eventually have the tools and confidence to manage your own vitality without needing me by your side forever.

As an FNTP, I do not diagnose or treat medical conditions. Instead, I work to balance the body’s underlying physiological systems. Many clients find that when we support the Foundations—such as optimizing digestion or balancing blood sugar—symptoms related to gut issues, fatigue, hormonal imbalances, and brain fog often begin to resolve on their own. I am always happy to work alongside your GP or other medical professionals to support your overall care plan.

My philosophy is "food first," and my primary goal is to help you get the nutrients you need from a well-sourced, diverse diet. However, sometimes the body needs a temporary "boost" to jumpstart the healing process or correct a long-term deficiency. If I do recommend supplements, they are professional-grade, bio-available, and chosen specifically for your body's current needs. We regularly review these to ensure you are only taking exactly what your body requires at that stage of your journey.
